Each science mentioned has a ‘ladder’ of scholarly texts that start off beginner and become more advanced until you master the science.
Ustadh Rhyad teaches a mixture of beginner texts and advanced texts in a way that anyone can understand to help you not just have a deep understanding yourself, but also be able to transfer this understanding to your friends, families and communities.
Each text is translated and taught in English, and delivered in small bite-sized lessons so that you can absorb the knowledge and deepen your understanding despite having busy schedules.

Ustadh Rhyad is an Islamic teacher, Da’ee and student of knowledge that has studied all the Islamic sciences under Shaykh Baha al-Majlisi. Shaykh Baha Al-Majlisi is a Mauritanian scholar and is the teacher of Ustadh Rhyad. He started studying Islam at a very young age. He memorised the Quran at 7 and had memorised books from the sciences before reaching the age of maturity. He became a scholar at the age of 20 and has been building other scholars for more than 20 years ever since. Shaykh Baha is Muslim Lighthouse’s backbone. He is in charge of the syllabus, provides approval for the content being taught and helps with the more complex questions so that the students in Muslim Lighthouse have clarity and confidence in their personal lives too.
Mauritania is renowned for its high level of Islamic scholarship. It has a unique system of ‘Mahdaras’ which are traditional Islamic schools that have produced scholars with unparalleled memorization and understanding, making it a hub for seekers of authentic Islamic knowledge.
